So I love telecasters...what a shocker. I came across a video from Phil McKnight's channel on sub $300 guitar manufacturers and Tagima was ranked #2. They are a a Brazilian manufacturer that have an Asian import line (sub $300), and Brazilian mid level ($300 - $700) and some great guitars in the $700 - 1,400 range.

Where they really shine is the sub $300 range. I know my telecasters and I can honestly say these are the BEST sub $500 telecasters I have ever tried. Yes better than Affinity, as good if not better than Squier Classic Vibe and some Mexican teles. No it is NOT like my Nash (as you'll see in this video) but it won't set you back.

Set -up - mini set up from my luthier Steve Morrill http://stevemorrillguitarrepair.com/- $25 Steve checked the electronics, replaced the saddles, and intonated the fret work, set the action, looked at my best tele Nash and tried to replicate the playing feel as best as possible. NO fret work was needed. A real full set-up should run you aroun$50-$75 and is worth it.
