Microphone review for the Schoeps Super-Cardioid Condenser Microphone, which is best used for indoor dialogue recordings. This super-cardioid microphone comes with the MK 41 microphone sound capsule that captures audio using a super-cardioid polar pattern. This polar pattern allows any sound mixer/boom operator to record two people simultaneously indoors.

I wouldn't suggest using this super cardioid microphone outside around noisy environments. The microphone is more than capable of picking up more sound than is necessary for what you're recording. That includes the additional environment around you such as traffic, airplanes, crowds, generators, etc.

The Deity S-Mic 2 would be a better microphone for that kind of situation considering it's built with rejection tubes that are made to reject that extra sound. Hence why it's called a "shotgun condenser microphone".

The Deity S-Mic 2 is also a unidirectional microphone, which means it only captures audio waves directed in front of its subject. Meanwhile, the Schoeps Super-Cardioiid Microphone picks up a broader range from around 180 degrees.
