Metal Detecting in Field with a Fisher M-Scope Model: 1266-X

Metal detecting with a Fisher M-Scope Model: 1266-X in a field in Christchurch, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.
Not the most exciting finds, but demonstrates how I go about it.
I am using a Fisher M-Scope 1266-X Pro. She is a wonderful piece of machinery. I have disc one variable knob adjustment to 6 and the second disc set to 9.
Here is a review, it is well worth a read if you are interested in metal detectors in general. http://www.njminerals.org/metaldetecting-1266X.html
I must also say this is a a great detector, and for it to be my first, I am grateful to whom I purchased second hand.
What is also amasing is how long ago this was designed. Released in 1991, making it a classic 24 year old relic in itself at this point in time.
If you manage to get your hands on one of these, you will be impressed.
I am blown away with the amount of information you get from an electronics PCB, 12V 8 x AA battery supply, two discs, a single tone and a three way, center positioned toggle switch.
The Garret Pro-Pointer AT is a definite must. It will half the time to take to locate things with its advanced features. I have the sound on, vibrate is always on and medium of the available three sensitivity settings. If I use the full sensitivity, I found I was digging deep holes, so using the medium setting as a good guideline for depth.
Thanks for watching,
Matt Wilson
