Faith Kipyegon's heroics bring electricity to her village in Keringet

It took one of their daughters to clinch a gold medal for the country at the just-concluded Rio Olympics for them to see the light. Residents of Keringet in Nakuru County, where 1500 meters Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon hails from, are now connected to electricity after many years in the dark. Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter personally oversaw Faith's parents' home being connected to the national power grid after NTV reported that her parents could not watch her win owing to a lack of electricity, as Brygettes Ngana reports.
