Today I'm presenting a very rare 1/24 model car in my collection: The 1983 Mercedes-Benz 190 E made by Leo Models, but one which you can sometimes also find listed as being made by White Box.

Pros:
- satisfyingly detailed front, incl. iconic W201 grille and tinted blinkers
- thin, photo-etched Mercedes-Benz star hood ornament
- hinge mechanism underneath the hood
- iconic 80s Mercedes-Benz rims
- trunk opens (as well! on this 1/24) and even features a warning triangle
- comes with hard-plastic display case

Cons:
- several pegs on tail lights
- quality control issues, like scratches on windshields, glue residue on chrome, hair trapped beneath paint, dent on rims etc.

Still, a very good alternative to those who consider 1/43 too small, and don't have the cash to buy the terribly overpriced AUTOArt Millenium 1/18 Mercedes-Benz 190 E for a price that is essentially 10% of how much the pre-owned 1/1 REAL CAR sells for in car dealerships. I'd rather pay 10 times the AUTOArt's price and just get the real car to drive around the block :D
