Miroslav Philharmonik -- solo violin test. Excerpt .."Rondo des Lutins" by Bazzini
Описание
I wanted to know how the Miroslav solo violin would handle a faster tempo, and then thought the result could be informative for other would-be users..
So here you are .. it's not really my sort of music, but I was very impressed by the "life" one can get into the sound with these samples.
More info ..
The solo violin has a range of articulations available, each with programmed variations.
( e.g. for the sustained bows there can be crescendo versions. You can also save your own versions of the sound )
The main violin 1 is a slow expressive sound.
There are also 2 looped versions of this, and a tremolo loop.
There are 3 detache violin styles. ( single bow stroke with some variation in length, attack and vibrato)
3 short attack sounds -- spiccato and 2 staccato .
Pizzicato.
Sul ponte and sul ponte tremolo.
Violin (standard) tremolo
There are extra but limited samples for :-
trills, runs, glissando
and the very high bowing range
In the mono "elements" there are some violin sounds with greater note range.
-- various violin pizz, and staccato 1 and 2.
A missing articulation is no-vibrato violin -- though one can probably supply this alternately.
Also missing, the now common "round robin" effects, though one could use modified sounds or another sound source, and do it manually.
Or perhaps use midi control change to alter parameters on repeating notes.
( Midi control changes can be linked to any of the many knobs of the interface).
Overall, less articulations than, say, East West Gold, but striking quality is possible.
Perhaps the critical element for use is how well the detache bows will sound on a longer phrase, so I may do another very short video for that.
