DETI (Дети), a band founded by musician Roman Kaporin in Vladivostok during the 1980s, emerged from the replacement of various folk rock and rock and roll groups. In 1987, Kaporin, along with Igor Rudik and Pyotr Strukov, recorded their debut album "Caesarean Section" at Strukov's home studio.

The group gained traction, participating in festivals like Beatlemania-88 and Interchance-89, catching the attention of EMI label. Their clip "That's it, I said it!" aired on central television channels in the USSR. Despite disbanding in 1991, DETI regrouped in the late 1990s for a brief period, recording in 1998 and performing in 1999.
