The big questions we were wondering is how do these compare to the classic Dominant string-the reference and standard for generations, and to Thomastik's new flagship: PI101. So in this video I play these three sets back to back (on the exact SAME instrument and bow) after each string has had time to settle in. View the the entire audible spectrum with the frequency analysis graph during the demonstrations.

In the end, I think it's safe to say the new Dominant Pro strings are more powerful and colorful than the classic dominants, and slightly warmer and broader than PI101 as they have slightly less tension. They are a delight to play and will surely be widely adopted.
