It is not a slow motion, this animal is that slow in real (sic!). The Sloth is the slowest animal in the world. Scentific name of brown-throated three-toed sloth – Bradypus variegatus, came from Greek: brados which means „slowness” and podus - „foot”.
Sloths have one of the slowest food passage times of any mammal. It can take four weeks or more to pass through a sloth. Three- toed sloths have the peculiar habit of descending to the ground about once a week to urinate and defecate. They do not evacuate at all between visits, and can shed as much as a third of their body weight in fecal pellets and urine in a single session!
Three- toed sloths spend about 10 hours a day active. They can live up to 20 - 30 years.
