I've been on a big Meshuggah kick lately, especially the original 'Nothing' release. I've transcribed nearly the entire record, so expect to see some more videos when I have the time. This one wasn't rehearsed much, JUST enough to get the whole thing memorized.

This is the first video I've uploaded to this channel that features me playing a more traditional right-handed setup, which I've been utilizing almost exclusively the past couple months. I've been focusing a lot more on improvisational playing and developing a larger musical vocabulary. Expect to see a mixture of setups in future videos.

This is also the first of my uploaded videos that I mixed, so let me know what you think! As always, no sample replacement or quantizing was done. Notes:
1:15 - 1:29 - I cop'd this style of ghosting from Simon from Beheading Of A King. I'm ghosting the 8th note downbeats instead of 16th note upbeats, which seems to give it a little stiffer feel, and helps to build tension.
2:33, 2:47 - Ghosted inverted six-stroke roll
4:08 - Ad-lib linear fill (I couldn't resist, don't call the Meshuggah police on me.)
