With this KVM switch box Aten CS22U you can connect two computers with only one set of monitor keyboard and mouse. This way, you can switch between the two PCs easily, with just pressing a button.

The KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switch has one VGA and two USB ports on one of its sides. These ports are used to connect your monitor, keyboard and mouse. On the other side there are two sets of cables. Each set goes to each one of your computers, and contains three cables(1 VGA and 2 USB) which are kind of glued together.

There is also a remote control button with long cable, which you can mount anywhere around you, making the setup more convenient and pleasing to the eye. I glued my remote button under my desk on the right, creating a stealthy look, almost like in a James Bond movie.

I used this Aten KVM switch to connect my laptop and my desktop PC with my monitor, keyboard and mouse. My laptop currently has Windows 7 operating system, and my Desktop PC has an old Windows XP. This means operating systems doesn't matter for this extender box.

I use a docking station for my laptop, and I have connected all cables to the docking station. This way I don't have to connect and disconnect all cables everytime I take out my laptop, I just have to connect it to the docking station. This makes the whole setup even more convenient.
