Hi everyone! This is Top 3D Shop, and in this video, we will tell you about the CreatBot F1000 FDM 3D printer.

The CreatBot F1000 is a large-scale industrial 3D printing unit equipped with a dual extruder capable of heating up to 420 degrees Celsius. The maximum heating temperature of the build chamber is 60 degrees, with its dimensions of 1000x1000x1000 millimeters.

Heated up to 100 degrees, the bed plate is supported by an automatic leveling system.

The minimum layer thickness is 50 microns with the positioning accuracy along the X / Y axis at 11 microns.

The steel body of the CreatBot F1000 ensures printing stability and greatly extends the life of the 3D printer.

This large-format additive manufacturing machine is a powerful tool for a wide variety of industries with demand for creating relatively large objects such as the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, architecture, art, education.

Taking a closer look inside, we see beefy power supplies, a built-in backup battery with a voltmeter showing the current charge and powerful yet quiet drivers with cooling.

Two automatic residual current devices are installed at the back of the printer: one goes to the heating system of the working chamber, with the second powering the electric components.

Operating modes and printer settings are controlled using a 12-inch fast response touch screen. The menu is very similar to the one used in other CreatBot machines.

The F1000 allows you to change some parameters during the printing process. The extruder, bed and chamber temperatures as well as airflow can be adjusted mid-print.
At the rear of the machine there is a door for access to the internal components. A BLTouch sensor is installed on the carriage for automatic calibration using 64 points. The data is then used to build an accurate height map.

The actively heated filament spool compartment is located on the side. It is designed to hold two large two-kilogram spools. To avoid damage to the filament, the printer design uses additional motors for feeding the plastic, which are synchronized with the motor on the extruder.

Just above the compartment there are two buttons for selecting the temperature, which can be set to 45 and 65 degrees.

Under the touchscreen, in addition to the emergency stop button, there is a lock with a key for the power button.

Let's go back to the menu. By clicking the “Adjust” tab, you can change the print speed as well as plastic feed and air-flow rates right on the go. Another level of customization includes specialized parameters, such as Z-axis offset which allows adjusting the layer height in real time, if necessary.

You can also set the heating temperature of the print chamber in the main menu.

In the meantime, we launched a small test print to check the machine’s performance. We prepared the model for printing using the CreatWare 6.5.0 slicer provided on the bundled USB flash drive. Its difference from earlier versions is the presence of a dedicated CreatBot F1000 profile.

Let's go to the “Expert Config” section. By default, the printer is equipped with a 0.4 mm nozzle with a 1.75 mm filament diameter. Naturally, in addition to the nozzle temperature, you can configure many other parameters, like retraction, dual-extruder printing, infill percentage, cooling, support, and so on.

For advanced users, there is an option to view and edit G-code.

The test print continues with a layer height of 200 microns. For this project we used the stock 0.4 mm nozzle.

The top panel is fitted with gas struts and opens access to the print chamber area from above.

The CreatBot F1000 is powered by heavy-duty stepper motors with a nominal torque of 20 newton-centimeters and 4.2 amps of current. All this is connected with high-quality elastic couplings.

A Xiaomi webcam is installed inside the working area streaming the image to a mobile application. Using the camera is pretty straightforward: download the app, register, activate it, and you can monitor the printing process remotely.

Any equipment with moving components needs lubrication, and 3D printers are no exception. You can use machine oil or silicone grease for rail guides, and greases such as Litol-24 for rods and ball screws.

By the way, the printer is equipped with four enhanced motor powered ball screws. The print chamber heating system includes two heating blocks located on the right inner side.

The test model is finished. We recommend using masking tape for better adhesion on the first layer.

The brand name label turned out great with high layer quality. The machine is fine-tuned and ready to print large-sized models.
