How Recall an Email using MDaemon Email Server's Improved Message Recall Feature

MDaemon's Message Recall feature has been improved for MDaemon 20. Now, for messages sent to other local email accounts, the sender is no longer limited to a deferred delivery period during which the email can be recalled. This allows the message to be recalled directly from local recipients' inboxes. For email addressed to external recipients, administrators can use the existing deferred delivery settings to allow a grace period during which the sender can recall the email.

By default, the last 1000 emails sent via an authenticated session are eligible for recall, and this number can be adjusted as needed by the administrator.

There are four ways a user can recall a sent email message:

1. Using the Recall button in MDaemon Webmail
2. By sending an email to the MDaemon system account with the word RECALL in the subject.
3. By forwarding the message as an attachment to the MDaemon system account.
4. By sending an email addressed to the MDaemon system account with RECALL, followed by the Message-ID header, in the message subject.
