This Blog is about blackbox modeling of an interesting distortion pedal called the "Little Bear G3" .
The calculation has been done in Matlab and the implementation in SigmaStudio to the ADAU1452 DSP Eval Board.

After internet research, it seems to me that the "Little Bear" G1/G3 is a cheap chinese copy of the old original Butler Tube Drive, patent 5022305 - ( Expired )

It's got a JRC4558 Opamp which makes buffer and the first high gain symmetrical clipping , and then followed by the 2-stage 12AX7 , which makes tube characteristic plus hard asymmetrical clipping due the "starved plate" operation because of low Voltage Supply 9V.
