Commonly the weakest of the quadriceps muscles, the vastus medialis can be tough to activate and strengthen. If you've ever experienced knee pain, you have most likely experienced the effects of this muscle in either a weaker or non-activated state. Whether this is the case, or you are about to head out the door for a walk, run, or ride, or a preparing for a lifting session - give these couple of exercises a try, so that you can stimulate the neuromotor connection and get movement both properly occurring and tracking at the knee.
Both of these exercises are isometric.
