[voice over] If equipped, the Driver Attention Assist System, or DAA, will issue warnings when it detects driver fatigue. The system analyses several factors such as driving style, lane crossings,

[text on screen] Always obey speed limits.

[voice over] and time spent behind the wheel at speeds between 40 and 110 mph, or 60 and 180 km/h.

DAA can be turned on or off in the radio system by selecting the "Driver Assistance" menu, and then “Driver Attention Assist.” Selecting either the “High” or the “Standard” option will enable warnings after two or three hours of driving, respectively. When fatigue is detected, a message and visual symbol will appear in the instrument cluster display, and an audible signal will sound.

If the driver accepts the suggestion by pushing the “Menu” button on the multifunction lever, the message will disappear, but the visual symbol will remain until the next engine shutdown. If the suggestion is ignored, the warnings will continue.

Keep in mind, if “Race” mode is enabled on properly equipped vehicles, DAA will be disabled.
Remember, DAA is not a substitute for safe driving. Always remain alert and aware, even when using the system.
