Let’s talk about Elvish in Lord of the Rings. Let me know in the comments what you’d like me to talk about next!

There’s so much I wanted to talk about but it’s probably best I talked just about the basics of how Elvish evolved in Middle-earth. The dialect spoken by most elves in Lord of the Rings is Sindarin, but Quenya is kind of the Middle Earth equivalent of Latin (as in, it an old language that’s not usually spoken and used primarily for academic purposes by the elves).

Anyway, I’m really sorry if I have some mistakes (and please let me know if I did!). I love talking about Lord of the Rings but I’m bound to get something wrong with how complex Tolkien made his lore.
