Just a quick drive in this 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2WD XLT. 103k and it looks and runs perfectly. These V6 models come with a 5 Speed Auto. Even for a V6 model, they have a throaty exhaust note which I like.

They ride very well cause of the IRS in back so it doesn't ride like a truck. Steering effort is firm on highway and it doesn't go all over the place like most GM cars. The 5 speed autos shifting isn't the smoothest but does well getting the Most torque out of the Ancient 4.0 by keeping Shifts on the high end.

I haven't driven the V8 version but with the 292HP and a 6 Speed auto, it ought to be much better.
