Grand Canyon Railway Steam Locomotives
Описание
The Grand Canyon Railway is a 64 mile long tourist railroad that takes visitors from Williams Arizona to the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. In February of 2017, Lerro Photography hosted a photo charter on the railroad featuring GCRy’s two steam locomotives - former Chicago Burlington and Quincy 2-8-2 type number 4960 and former Lake Superior and Ishpeming 2-8-0 number 29. The two locomotives traversed the entire rail line for two days, pulling former Southern Pacific Railroad “Harriman” style passenger cars, painted in classic Pullman Green. The locomotives stopped multiple times for some fantastic Northern Arizona wintertime scenes straight out of the steam era. I’ve featured a few of these clips in some other videos, including Steam Trains Galore 5. But, I thought it would be nice to finally post all the video from this trip in one place to enjoy. So without further delay, let’s take a look at some steam action on the Grand Canyon Railway.
