Oppo Digital's new range of planar magnetic headphones offers exceptional sound quality and represents great value along with being easy to power, making them perfect for traveling with. We give a brief review of the Oppo PM-1, PM-2 and PM-3. Also we introduce the Oppo HA2 amp/dac. The planar magnetic drivers in this range make for fast and accurate reproduction with superb detail and sense of space.

Oppo PM-3

The range starts with the Oppo PM-3 which is a closed back model, suitable for portable use and with both Android & Apple controls so that important call needn't be missed. However you'll be aching to get that call over with so you can carry on listening to music!

Oppo PM-2

The Oppo PM-2 offers a high-end level listening experience for a greatly reduced price; the drivers and internal components are the same as for the top-flight PM-1 but with lower cost headband, headband yokes and packaging. They are great for travelling with and fold flat for easy storage, however their open-back design requires a quiet space to get the best from them.

The sumptuous Oppo PM-1 comes in a presentation case which is as plush and polished as the sound of these headphones. No detail has been missed in making the PM-1 amongst the most beautifully built headphone models available. Again, they can be taken with you but they are open-backed so if isolation is required look at the PM-3.

Also Oppo's portable amp/DAC, the Oppo HA-2, is available and has many uses. As well as a fantastic sounding amp, it will act as a DAC for your computer, Apple or Android phone. The stylish exterior only hints at the high quality sound the HA-2 is capable of.
