🚀About SHAI MAESTRO:
Shai is one of the most promising and talented pianists of his generation.

While still in high school, he was awarded a full scholarship to attend Berklee - an offer he declined.

His intuition proved right: just weeks later, he received a phone call from bassist Avishai Cohen to join his trio with drummer Mark Guiliana.

Shai toured the world and recorded four albums with the Avishai Cohen Trio, including two on Blue Note Records: Gently Disturbed (2008), Sensitive Hours (2008), Aurora (2009), and Seven Seas (2011).

Shai's sixth album as a leader and second album for the prestigious ECM label, Human, was released on January 29th, 2021, featuring Ofri Nehemya on drums and Jorge Roeder on bass, plus trumpeter Philip Dizack.

Shai was invited to perform with Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Keitaro Harada at Tokyo Metropolitan Theater in August 2019. The program consisted of Miho Hazama’s first piano concerto as well as Shai’s original music.
