The Magic Keyboard aims to take your iPad Pro and turn it into a legitimate powerhouse laptop replacement with full track pad support and the addition of a usb c charging port. But it costs twice as much and starts to cost roughly the same as a MacBook Pro.

The Smart Keyboard also adds a lot of functionality for much less, but its lacking some key additions.
