Mission planner and Ardupilot autopilot system. In a nut shell. This small computer, GPS, and transmitter are placed inside whatever platform you like. My first is a RC Rock Crawler. I figure I can run fast enough to catch that before it does much damage to itself or other things. This setup is capable of fully fly by wire of many applications including fly by wire takeoff of both Airplanes and vertical craft like quads and helicopters. Running a set pattern you setup, and landing where it started. All with zero human intervention. Then I can add my input and just let go when I am OUT OF CONTROL. lol IF I get really good I hope to compete locally, nationally, and internationally. One last good project!!!!!!!!!
