From Downtown Crossing, the first *Waterboard: A Play About Torture* performance, and play preparation/practice. NOTE: A lot of commentators have reminded us that this needs to be done at an angle to be effective. Two things: first, this is a piece of protest art and that context needs to be kept in mind. Second, waterboarding has been and can be conducted in 4 or more canonical variations, each of which has its own variation. While the method shown is not the most popular or the most extreme, it still poses risk of bodily harm and death and should not be attempted by viewers. The act shown here is extreme, and the waterboarding/water torture practiced by governments around the world is an abomination.
