RAW demo of the Ampeg solid state amplifier, the VH 140 C. One of the classic sought after amps of the 80s and 90s especially in the OSDM / METAL / HXC genres themselves as well as some crossover.

This demo is intended to showcase the RAW, unprocessed sound of this amp, particularly the gain channel. I have it dialed in to a tone I like to use as my common starting point. It has attack and body and enough clarity to really add bite to a track. I did not add any EQ or compression to the audio. I recorded all audio through a tried and true SM57 microphone into an ISA 828 preamp into an Apollo 16 interface.
