Codex Gigas is the largest medieval manuscript in the world. At 36 inches long, 20 inches wide, 8.7 inches thick and weighing 165lb (74.8 kg), Codex Gigas contains the complete knowledge of the medieval era. It contains the complete Vulgate Bible, some popular medieval reference works like Josephus's Antiquities of the Jews, De Bello Eudaico, Isidore of Seville's encyclopedia, the chronicle of Cosmas of Prague, and some medical books.
Codex Gigas is now preserved at the National Library of Sweden in Stockholm, where it is on Public Display.
