Sure, it's not the same structure that hosted the British Empire Exhibition of 1924–25, or was used in the 1948 Olympic Games, or played welcomed Freddy Mercury for the most talked about Queen concert in history. But it still bears the name, and carries with it the mystique, of a venue unlike any the world over.
