When choosing the storage for harvesting Chia, the most important thing would be the storage size and the price of course. You don't want to overpay for the most expensive 18Tb drives if you could get 8Tb drives for half that price. However, a few options are here to consider:
- do you have enough space to place all the drives?
- keep in mind, they have moving parts inside, hence are causing a tiny vibration and if it won't be as noticeable with 1 or 2 drives, imagine having 20 or 50.
- even though the hard drives consume very little energy, if you have 50 drives, that number will multiply by 50, so do your calculations thoroughly before spending your money.
