Описание

A demo of some of the sounds loaded into the V Machine I purchased a while back. I experimented with uploading a couple of my favourites (the Artifakes Redtron and ESLine String Machine) before realizing that they were already in the machine!

The V Machine is, simply put, a MIDI-controlled hardware VST host that lets you take your favourite VST out on the road without the need for a laptop or computer rig. As such, it's ideal for some of the pre-fabricated sounds offered by your VST, though I did struggle to tweak any of these in live performance mode. It's a relatively inexpensive bit of kit though and this, coupled with its extreme portability, makes it a really useful addition to your live rig.

Some (but not all) of the onboard synth modules it came loaded with:

00 EsLine String Machine (Solina String Emulator). Classic string machine sounds.

10 Artifakes Redtron (Mellotron Emulator). One of the best free Mellotron emulators out there - all the classics (choirs, flutes, strings) plus a few other little goodies too.

56 Air 4th. Some nice, airy synth sounds.

47 Arpy. Arpeggiated synth sounds.

08 Bass Module.

42 Deputy. A few lead synth sounds.

02 e-phonic Invader (64-bit Game Sound Emulator). Fun!

55 E-Piano Module. OK, it's a bit basic, but there are some nice DX-type sounds to be had.

22 Messiah. This is really the king of the included synth modules: lots of really useable synth leads and pads. And there is a wealth of sound banks to choose from. Some really nice ring-modulation-type sounds at around 9:00.

16 Mono/Fury. Mono/Poly emulator? Some nice leads.

46 Motionnnn. Some nice evolving motion pads.

30 Mr Ray 73. GSi's rather excellent electric piano emulator.

03 ODSay. ARP Odyssey? Leads.

26 Or2v. Some interesting and unusual sequence/motion pads. Could've spent hours noodling with this!

05 Phutura. Analogue/dance synth/sound effects.

37 Piano Module. A basic piano module, certainly passable in a mix.

13 Scrooo. More weird synth sounds and textures.

22 Sonic Projects OP-X. Oberheim emulator? Classic leads.

44 StringSynth. Another string emulator.

41 SxMJune (Roland Juno Emulator). Lots of Juno 106-type sounds here. I owned a Juno for a very long time, and these are fairly reasonable copies. I was getting a bit bored of noodling by this stage, so I'm really just flipping through a lot of presets in seconds!

20 Sytrus. Sequences and pads.

20 Tapetronic (Mellotron Emulator). Another passable emulation, rather more basic than the Artifakes Redtron but still useable.

37 Texture. More analogue goodness.

07 TruePianos. A full-blown piano module. Perfectly acceptable in the mix. I need to work on my piano technique.

Recorded using a Nord Stage 73 as the master keyboard, into a Roland R-05 digital recorder via an Alesis Multimix to add just a smidge of reverb here and there. Edited highlights, because I'm sure that no-one wants to listen to over two hours of my noodlings :-)
