Data Import 03: AutoCAD file (dwg) in QGIS

This video shows you how to import/open an AutoCAD file into QGIS. You extract Line, point and polygon objects and save them in other data formats you want.

In this example, the drainage system (lines) was drawn in the AutoCAD file. We wanted to extract this data as a shapefile so that we can use it in GIS software which is easy to manage and visualize.
