Update March 2015:
To respond to a lot of the comments that have built up over the years, I’m detecting some miscommunication of the video.

My point was that some of the sound effects sounded cartoony. Having played SC1 so much over the years these sound effects seemed very normal. It wasn’t until SC2 came out and they changed some of the sound effects that I realized some of the sound effects were kinda cheesy and I can see why they were changed.

I still stand by all my opinions.

10 lurker attack
yeah, what the heck is that noise? I would expect more of an earthy noise of dirt being pushed aside as the underground tunnels are being filled with spikes.

9 mutalysk attack
There is no reason for a the yelling and screaming thing before the glaue warm is thrown. If it was a pressurization then maybe the sound like an aerosol can releasing air.

8 hydra/drone
When has anyone ever sounded like that when spitting? No one. No one sounds like that spitting. If it’s pressurized liquid make it sound like it’s water coming out of a garden hose with your thumb covering the end.


7 zelots
Blades that glow and are made out of light could have sounded like light sabers, or make no sound at all, BUT THEY CERTAINLY DON’T SOUND LIKE METAL HITTING METAL!

6 kerrigan's attack
Kerrigan uses her claws to attack. Not a bull whip. Claws don’t sound like bull whips. They sound like scratching noises.

I think most people agreed that this sounded kinda funny.

4 rockets
I was surprised by the amount of people defending this one. Rockets don’t sound like that. They sound like the tomahawk missile or a space shuttle taking off. It’s fire coming out of a rocket. They got this right with the Viking air attack. They don’t sound like me rolling my tongue while heightening the pitch of my voice.

3 stim pack
They got this right in SC2. They reactions of the soldiers getting the drugs pumped into them just makes me laugh.

2 spider mine
Robots don’t need to make high pitched noises when they move. What factory line arm makes that noise when it moves? It make a low bzzzzz robot noise.

1 carrier
I didn’t see any complaints on this one.
