For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (390) Poppy Rose, (192) Scarlet, (106) Snow White, (110) Black, (074) Mercury, (242) Metal Gray, (509) Baby Blue and (208) Yellow Gold. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the fire engine together.
The finished size will be 19cm wide x 15cm high (7.5” wide x 6” high) for the larger fire engine, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the fire engine in Catona will be 16cm wide x 13cm high (6.25” wide x 5” high). The medium fire engine will be 13.5cm wide x 9.5cm high (5.25” wide x 3.75” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small fire engine will be 10cm wide x 7.5cm high (4” wide x 3” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
