Review of the Glacier Express excursion from Chur to Zermatt. It is an express train connecting the two major mountain resorts of Zermatt and St. Moritz via Andermatt in the central Swiss Alps. The route takes you through three cantons, Valais, Uri and Graubünden, and offers breath-taking panoramic views. The route through the Alps takes eight hours from Zermatt to St. Moritz and boasts spectacular views, bridges and tunnels (over 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels). The train is operated by the Glacier Express AG since 2017, a cooperation jointly owned by the former operators Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and Rhaetian Railway; Switzerland 2019.
