Welcome on board the Intercity from Amsterdam to Enkhuizen and back! It's the first of May 2020 and we're in the middle of the corona crisis in The Netherlands. Traveling by train is only available for necessary traveling and vital causes.

We depart on time from Amsterdam and arrive on time in Enkhuizen. On the way back it's pretty much the same. All according to schedule. The number of travelers is very low because of the corona virus. Still hurts the eyes when seeing it.

On our way to Enkhuizen we pass the bridges without power lines in Zaandam and Purmerend. A total of three bridges in each direction. As explained in the last video the driver only shuts down the engines of the train. The pantographs of the train get on their highest position and come loose from the wires just before the end of the overhead wires. On the other side of the bridge the pantograph slides under the new wire and is then pushed to a lower position at the next portal.
