Waterloo & City Line (2) - Class 482 (1992)

The Waterloo & City Line trains which were introduced by Network SouthEast in 1992/3.

Known as Class 482 they were almost identical to the 1992 tube stock built for the Central Line.

These trains were built as direct replacements for the elderly Class 487 trains which the Southern Railway introduced in 1940.

This video has two sections - the first part shows these trains in March 1994, just weeks before railway privatisation saw the ownership of the Waterloo & City Line passing over to London Underground.

Especially at the beginning some scenes are a little short - my mistake, I did not film them for as long as I should have.

Part two are a series of still images showing the trains in April 2007, after the W&C Line had been closed for a major refurbishment, during which time the trains had also been refurbished and repainted in corporate LU livery.
