Installation of Asterisk from source requires compilation tools, dependencies resolution. For being safer, we flush or disable firewall and disable SELinux. Asterisk need DAHDI, libpri, also before its installation. This video demonstrates how to prepare Linux for installation of Asterisk and also how to compile the source and install it and also how to configure it as a service.

In this demonstration, CentOS 6.5 on a VM with 1GB ram is used.
