Compiled from multiple sources. Edited so that the opening and closing sequences are only shown once. This is the 2nd version of "Red Planet" that was aired, and it contained new animation that explained some of the backstory, while the rest of the series was shortened to keep the length at three episodes.

There's something odd that happens in this version of Red Planet: In some scenes where there are explosions, the boxes of explosives from the mineshaft explosion scene are briefly shown (usually for 2 to 3 frames, or about a tenth of a second). This happens, for example, around 40:39. This is how it appeared when it was aired.
