Radiance is Kelly Padrick’s 8th video collaboration with award-winning director-producer Patricia Chica known for her psychological dramas and edgy documentaries, Rockabilly 514, Ceramic Tango, and Serpent’s Lullaby.

"Radiance was written as a positive song about love, and I felt the concept of the video should mirror the hopeful and spiritual themes of the song,” says Kelly Padrick.

“This is Kelly’s most luminous music video to date,” adds Patricia Chica. “Moreover, this is a tale about ‘enlightenment’ and ‘brilliance’ rather than ‘darkness,’ which had been a recurrent theme in our previous videos. I wanted the style to be elegant and straightforward, and have the ‘radiance’ really come across through the characters and the imagery,” she concluded.

The textured cinematography by Martin Bouchard was colorized in Montreal by Jonathan Tremblay. Radiance is set at a manor located in the enchanting Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada. The music video shows an elegant woman played by Padrick who is worshiped by her radiant lover, played by Quebecois actor Eric Benton. Radiance is a love song that presents a message of hope for the listener to believe their radiance is in the way they are.

Production Anecdote:
An unexpected event happened during the filming of the garden scene, when a giant dragonfly landed on Kelly’s dress and stayed by her side during the shots of her singing. Instead of pushing it away, the director decided to incorporate this serendipitous moment into the story, and asked the crew to send energetic love and gratitude to the little creature whom they named “Alex.” Alex cooperated with the team for two hours, and when the filming of the scene was over, it flew away. “Magic happens when you are led by flexibility and allow improvisation into your creative space,” says director Patricia Chica.
