ThyssenKrupp Evolution Blue Lifts at Aloft by Starwood, Stuttgart, Germany

This is the hotel we stayed at to visit the ThyssenKrupp Testturm. This was the first Aloft hotel I stayed at, and I have to say they are nice hotels! These were also some of my first ThyssenKrupp Evolution Blues. I will say that the Evolution Blue is a lot nicer and an overall better quality lift than the Synergy Blue. It has a reasonable motor and runs smoothly. The cabins seem well put together and not like a metal box. However, after riding these a few times, I realized that there really isn't anything that wows or amazing me about the lift. Sure, it has a very nice cab and it runs fine. But I never got the feeling that it's a superb lift like I did with the Schindler and Kone MRLs. The Blueton fixtures look kind of generic. The buttons don't have a satisfying push either; it's kind of a short and hard push. I ended up riding many of these in Stuttgart because hotel is attached to and even part of a large mall. All of the lifts in the mall and in many of the stores are also Evolution Blue. I quickly grew tired of of riding virtually the same lift. And these ones are the nicest of them, since the ones in the mall are all stainless steel. Even though I prefer the Evolution Blue to the Synergy Blue, I still think I like American ThyssenKrupps better than European ones.
