Talks on POWER OF SHRI RUDRAM
By SWAMI ABHEDANANDA
(In-charge, Chinmaya Mission South Africa)
Rudraprashna (Namakam and Chamakam), from Krishna Yajurveda, Taittirayee Samhita, 4th Chapter - is the most potent vedic hymn in praise of the All Powerful LORD SHIVA!
Rudram is divided into 11 sections called Anuvakas. In these talks, Pujya Swamiji explains these Anuvakas in the most insightful manner.
Some important takeaways from Day 33 talk are:
⭕ The script of our life is written on the paper of faith and in the ink of surrender. More faith and surrender we have, more we can read what director (God) has written for us.
⭕ Trying to align with God's wish and God's mood is called Praying! It means "Whatever you want, I will do that".
⭕ For prayer, first step is to create a 'hearing God' and is created by doing Dharma.
⭕ Once you have created a hearing God, then you want attention-giving God, then melted God, and then your prayers are answered!
⭕ Dropping the ego is the best way to seek attention from God.
⭕ Struggle in life is a sign of distance from God; Put efforts to come close to God.
⭕ See God at least at in one place in this whole world, it can be a stone or your father/mother or Guru. Learn to die for that one altar.
⭕ Situational quietness is a sign of your surrender!
