How to cut out parts of your video with Movie Maker

Usually, videos can be dramatically improved with a little editing. A slow and rambling video can be transformed into a slick, fast-paced, short and professional-looking video with just a few edits. The problem is that video editing can be daunting if you're a newbie and video editing software can be very complex.

This is why Movie Maker was so great if you're new to video editing. It's quick and easy - both to learn and to complete your first few videos.

In this video I demonstrate the three things you're likely to want to do first with your videos - trim the start, trim the end and cut out a clip that you want to remove from the middle.

You can no longer download Movie Maker from Microsoft as it's been discontinued, other sites offer it but they won't be the official version and may include malware. I've left this video on YouTube though as many people seem to still be using Movie Maker.
