N16 Nissan Almera Condenser Replacement
Описание
Today, we replace the condenser, on an N16 Nissan Almera.
Before starting, ensure the system has been vacuumed down, and no refrigerant remains. It is a good idea to take
the car to an AC specialist, to have the system gassed down. Once the system has been de-gassed, it is safe to work
on.
First, I removed the radiator top mounts. These use 10mm bolts. Soak liberally in plus gas, as they will very likely shear,
two of mine did!. Radiator removal is optional, but not essential.
The two AC lines are held in with a 12mm bolt, on the top line, and a 10mm bolt on the bottom line.
The condenser has two upper mounts, these are held in with two 10mm nuts.
It is a good idea to remove the battery, this will allow you to remove the engine bay fuse and relay box, and move it
into the Battery tray, this allows you to push the radiator back, and remove the condenser, completely.
Re-assembly is the reversal of removal. Get the condenser fully located, first. This will make it easier to insert the lines.
Once you have finished, take the car to your local AC Specialist, to have the system charged up.
