In this video you will find out what features are available within a standard report, and what benefits you get for using an advanced report. So if you wish to analyse much more data, apply filters and download a lot of link data that Majestic has crawled, find out how best to run reports now.
When setting up either report, you will have the option of whether to use the Fresh or Historic Index. Standard reports will show you the most important backlinks coming into a website, whereas Advanced reports will bring up ALL the backlink data coming into a site - so you can then drill down into the Domain, Sub domain, URL or Path level.
Both reports are tracking reports, and are a great way to track activity coming into a website. They’ll note the trust and citation flow scores, total number of external backlinks, referring domains and subnets. Plus, the data will be presented to you in a linear graph and also in a table form which can be updated every 2 or 3 days. It’s just a matter of how detailed you want the report to be and thus whether you want a “standard” or “advanced” level report.
But once the report has been created, everything will be housed on this page. Meaning at this point, the reports become static. In saying this, if when our spiders crawl we find some new data specific to the report you have created, we will notify you adding a blue refresh button within the “My reports” section of the page. So you can go into your reports area, click on the blue refresh button and update the report you’ve already ran with the latest crawled information. Then, not only will you then have the latest data, but your monthly allowance will stay the same and not be reduced again as you have already created the report once.
