Are you trying to make the jump from the Home Assistant Operating System to Home Assistant Containers, but don't know how to get your system up and running without access to all you app?

Have no fear! This video will take you from a basic install of TrueNAS Scale all the way to seeing your Zigbee Devices in Home Assistant, and while I don't cover it, the same basic steps should work for getting your Z-wave or Matter devices linked up as well!

➤ Create an MQTT User in Mosquitto: mosquitto_passwd -c /mosquitto/configinc/password.txt mqtt_user

➤ Create a configuration file for your Mosquitto Password(Run this from the /mosquitto/configinc directory): echo "password_file /mosquitto/configinc/password.txt" (greater than symbol goes here, sorry YouTube doesn't let me put it in directly) passwordconfig.conf

➤ How to figure out your Truecharts internal domain name: https://truecharts.org/docs/manual/SCALE%20Apps/Quick-Start%20Guides/linking-apps

➤ Figure out what port your Zigbee Adapter is connected to: ls -l /dev/serial/by-id

➤ Connect to your USB adapter by Serial-id: /dev/serial/by-id/[YOUR_SERIAL_ID]
