How to install DSM 7.1.0 on baremetal – compile Redpill and installation - DS3622XS+ - Xpenology - Proxmox – Tinycore

This video is about how to install Synology NAS DSM 7.1.0 on Proxmox Server Virtual Environment. System requirements: baremetal system or server.

First open Proxmox and create a new virtual machine. We call it 100.
Memory size 4096MB, CPU Cores 6, 1 Socket. Serial port 0.

In Proxmox type the following commands from your @_Shell Console:
qm importdisk 100 /root/tinycore-redpill.v0.9.0.2.img local-lvm
qm set 100 -serial0 socket

Mount the 1G Disk with Redpill in SATA0.+
Open Console on system 100. Start the console.
Check your Main System IP. Open WinSCP login to your Redpill Main System.
Open a Putty SSH shell from WinSCP. Password is: P@ssw0rd

Use the following commands from tc@box to compile the Tinycore:
./rploader.sh fullupgrade now
./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+
Write down the macaddress you need it later. Your mac address should always start with
00:11:32:xx:xx:xx otherwise it will not work.

./rploader.sh satamap now
Check the user_config.json file and add modify following option lines
"SataPortMap": "4"
"DiskIdxMap": "00"

After sn add the following line
"netif_num": "1",
Check the Mac1 address and modify it.


./rploader.sh ext broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/redpill-load/master/redpill-virtio/rpext-index.json

./rploader.sh ext broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/redpill-load/develop/redpill-acpid/rpext-index.json


Now type in:
./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661

Then we are going to make a backup:
backup

Then we are going to reboot:
exec sudo reboot
