BMW B38 suffering a coolant loss from the engine block coolant connector. Once the cooling system was pressurised the leak coolant to exit just around the middle of the engine bay, dripping down onto the sump area. This can be a common issue and considered a wear and tear item - the connector is made from plastic and because of normal heat cycles with running the engine the plastic will become brittle and deteriorate leading eventually to a coolant leak.
