Cleaning an area rug with a power washer

My favorite area rug was filthy, thank to my new rescue pup who was terrified of the bathtub and wouldn't go near water. I finally got his bath situation figured out (mobile groomer to the rescue!) and then needed to figure out how to rescue my rug.

This rug is an inexpensive polyester rug, so I decided to try power washing it. It worked!

*Note: Please don't try this on your expensive antique rugs!! I don't think I'd even try it on natural fiber rugs, like cotton or wool. But polyester rugs? Heck yeah!
