Heartbeat Control is a free WordPress optimization plugin downloadable on the WordPress.org repository. In this video, we cover the recommended options for the plugin which I have also listed below to help reduce your server load and improve load times.

Recommended Settings
WordPress Dashboard: I recommend setting this option to "MODIFY HEARTBEAT" and set the time to 300 this will cause the least amount of issues while maintaining expected functionality and reducing the impact on your server.

Frontend: For this option on most websites I recommend you select the DISABLE HEARTBEAT option.

Post Editor: Set this option to allow (or if you wish to modify click modify heartbeat and increase to a higher number I would suggest no larger than 60).
