The first complete recording of the keyboard works by Girolamo Frescobaldi (1583-1643) performed for the first time by Michele Fontana on a piano tuned with the seventeenth-century mesotonic system. In this video you can listen to Frescobaldi's Gagliarda Prima (from the Second Book of Toccatas), the most important Italian composer in the seventeenth-century scene who was the first to bring feelings into keyboard music.
