How to turn on timestamps:
Due to the Xiaomi Yi camera being so affordable, many have used it simply as a dashcam for their vehicles. The Yi camera offers a setting called "Emergency Backup" what this does is it automatically saves the video recording if it registers a jarring impact (such as a vehicle crash).

Step 1: With your smartphone, open the Xiaomi Yi camera app.
